After a two-year hiatus due to Covid, chainsaw training is back!
This course is geared toward people who own their own chainsaw and safety equipment and are planning on helping clear downed trees on MTB Missoula volunteer days.
There is no fee for the course, but we ask you to have a current MTBM membership (>/= $50)
All participants must have a current First Aid/CPR certification. Many groups in Missoula offer this training
If you have had a USFS certification in the past: you just need an evaluation (and current CPR/First Aid) to recertify, so this would mean coming out on Saturday afternoon to saw with the evaluator. Of course, you're welcome to take the whole course as a refresher. Use the same form linked below to sign up.
Course will include a classroom session Friday evening and a field session all day Saturday.
