Uniting Trail Associations of the Northern Rockies

On December 1, 2023 representatives of seven trail associations in western Montana and northern Idaho convened on Zoom for the first meeting of this new coalition. Led by MTB Missoula and our friends at Flathead Area Mountain Bikers, each group shared their current projects, upcoming plans, and shared past expereinces on subjects other groups were looking for insight on. Other associations represented in this first meeting were Southwest Montana Mountain Bike Association, Bitterroot Backcountry Cyclists, Pend Oreille Pedalers, Lake City Trail Alliance, and Montana Bicycle Guild.

After a productive first meeting members were polled and there was enthusiam accross the board about meeting again, which we plan to do biannually. Our next meeting is set for early May and we've already added a couple of new members to the coalition.

We are confident that these new partnerships will lead to more streamlined knowledgesharing and benefit trail users across the 406 and 208.
